To be eligible for the NDIS you must:
Age requirement
You must be under 65 years of age when you apply.
Residency status:
- Be an Australian citizen, or
- Hold a Permanent Visa, or
- Hold a Protected Special Category Visa (SCV).
Disability or condition:
- Have a permanent or significant disability that affects your ability to perform everyday activities, or
- Have a likely permanent condition that impacts your ability to participate in everyday activities.
Early intervention needs:
- You may also be eligible if early intervention would help improve your functional capacity or prevent deterioration in your condition (e.g., for children with developmental delay or adults with a progressive disability).
